Frappè al Cappuccino

I have a confession.  I don't drink cappuccino and I don't think I ever will.  It's because the milk bothers me.  Big time.  I tried using almond milk here but I thought it shouldn't have tasted like how it did.  It tasted weird and I didn't like it.  It's not that I know how cappuccino really tastes like because I don't drink it much less try it.  So I turned to my main food tester, hubby.  Now he is not a big lover of almond milk, rice milk, oat milk or whatever kind of non-dairy milk I take home, so when he forced himself to try it, he gave me a face.  Nope.  Almond milk did not work this time.  I knew that sooner or later my dairy milk substitute and savior will not work in a recipe.

Out of all the 500+ recipes I created, this is the only one I didn't try.  Hubby says, Yes, it's delicious!  He actually finished both glasses so we will have to trust him on this one.  I could have asked my other food tester in training but he is still under-aged to try it.  But hey, this is an Italian classic that you drink in summer so this has got to be delicious as hubby says!

I am in Alto Adige now, enjoying the Dolomite mountains, the fresh air and the sudden freedom from kitchen therapy.  For the first time in our summer alps vacation, my husband chose a normal hotel room instead of a holiday apartment with a kitchen.  I still don't know if I like it or not.  Maybe yes, because it connotes as a real vacation and maybe no because I LOVE food shopping here and I LOVE coming back to a kitchen cooking my food finds.  I am taking a cooking class to compensate for the absence of a kitchen so let's hope that makes up for it.

I'll go back enjoying the mountains while I bid you a wonderful week!
