Majestic Liberty Style Brunch at Grand Hotel Plaza in Rome, Italy


The resplendent Palazzo Lozzano built in 1837 showcases the magnificence of Liberty Style architecture from floor to ceiling. A wealth of arches, columns, frescoed ceilings, velvet tapestries, immense crystal chandeliers and furnishings is the backdrop of the of 182-year old palace. Originally built as a bank, it was turned into the Grand Hotel Plaza a century and a half ago serving Rome's historical and prominent patrons. It had its share of celebrated guests who patronized its luxurious setting with the Italian opera composer Pietro Mascagni among its permanent residents from 1927 until his death in 1945. In fact, the hotel's main room, the Mascagni Hall, is named after the world-famous composer.

Gagliardo, The Best Bitter in the World Pairs with Italian High Cuisine

Four dynamic monthly evenings in the key cities of Italy are earmarked for the dinners with cocktail matching made exclusively with Gagliardo. They are not your classic food and drink matching dinners but these are definitely new gastronomic journeys to experience. The first appointment transpired in Rome last 28 November at Acquaroof, the splendid rooftop terrace of The First Roma Arte Hotel with the remarkable creations of starred Chef Daniele Lippi accompanied by the cocktail drinks of Bar Manager Valeria Bassetti.

Quintorè: Gualdo Del Re’s High End Tuscan Merlot Debuts in Rome


Gualdo del Re of Suvereto, Tuscany launches its new wine, the Quintorè 2016 at Retrobottega Restaurant in Rome. About twenty four guests occupying the two large sharing tables are all swirling, smelling and tasting the semi-dense dark ruby red liquid in their wine glasses, the first vintage of the estate's Merlot vinified from a selection of grapes cultivated from a particular parcel of land of the estate.

Merano Wine Festival 2019: The 28th Edition


The 28th edition of Merano Wine Festival concluded on the 12th of November 2019 after a highly successful five-day food and wine event rich in tastings and seminars. This year's edition has seen the participation of 950 producers, 120 producers of culinary products and prominent chefs and most importantly, a total public admission of 11,500 visitors in the five-day festival.
