Hotel Vilòn in Rome, Italy: Breakfast at One of The World’s Best Hotels

Despite being a newcomer to the choices of 5-star luxury hotels in Rome, Hotel Vilòn has reached the top in no time. Accolades have arrived left and right and with its 18 distinctive rooms and suites overlooking the private gardens of Palazzo Borghese, occupancy is always full.  A well-deserved recent commendation is being included among the 129 hotels of the World's Best Hotels by Condé Nast Traveler's 2020 Gold List wherein only 3 are in located in Rome.

Centrally-located in a cobblestone side street, Hotel Vilòn is a sophisticated serene hideaway from the humming movements outside its doors. It is housed in the annex of the Palazzo Borghese, a historical 16th century palace belonging to the noble Borghese Family. At Hotel Vilòn, the ambience has aristocracy, enhanced by an elegant cinematic flavor, a noble residence made of sophisticated and eclectic details harmoniously put together by cinematographer Paolo Bonfini. The creative inspiration overlaps different styles of vibrant palettes, marbles, custom-designed furniture and series of large photographs of Massimo Listri. Architect and designer Giampiero Panepinto has created spaces to which he instilled touches of whimsical creativity, of colors and patterns, mixing up references to the decadent 17th century and contemporary period. Needless to say, Hotel Vilòn is the place to see and experience.

Whether you stayed at the hotel during the night or you are a walk-in guest for their resident restaurant Adelaide, their sumptuous breakfast spread is another exquisite aspect of the the Vilòn experience. While Director Giorgia Tozzi makes sure that everything is in perfection, Executive Chef Gabriele Muro and his kitchen team prepare the morning's proposals with utmost attention to details for a splendid gastronomic exploration from the buffet spread to the special breakfast menu.

Priced at €35, the international buffet breakfast of Adelaide Restaurant has an ample selection of egg dishes that can be ordered. Scrambled eggs with Cacio cheese, pepper and zucchini, Sorrentino-style sunny side up with tomatoes, basil, Parmigiano Reggiano and Mozzarella cheese or carbonara-style omelette are quite interesting options for egg dishes. The more classic options of French toasts, croque madame, quiche, selections of cold cuts, and pancakes are in the menu while freshly-baked sweet pies, cakes, bread, croissants on the table, honeycomb, fresh fruits, jams, fresh fruit and vegetable juices, teas, and cereals are on the buffet table.
