Eataly Wine Festival 2018 in Rome, Italy

It’s another weekend for wine enthusiasts as Eataly Wine Festival returned to the capital on the 4th and 5th days of May 2018 with some of the most renowned and important Italian wine names. At the third floor of Eataly Rome (Ostiense), from 18.00 to 01.00, the tasting of the wines is held with samples of more than 100 wines. Some are directly poured by the producers themselves which is the best way to get to know the stories behind every bottle you drink. With the price of €20, all the wines in the festival are available for tasting plus there are more options available.

The tasting trip from north till south among important and interesting labels, are accompanied by food proposals from Eataly. From La Granda, the proposals are two versions of Fassona beef carpaccio while Il Crudo Secondo Eataly has two kinds of white fish carpaccio in their menu. Pane & Vino has a selection of salumi and cheese with white focaccia.

To complete the food selection, Ristorante Umbro of Chef Paolo Trippini has three interesting entries in their menu like the Saccotino di Verdure con Crema di Caprino, Crostone di Baccalà alla Civitellese con Pomodoro, Uva Passa e Frutta Secca, and Crochetta di Coda alla Vaccinara, Crema di Cipolle e Balsamico. Concluding the selection is an array of mono portions of cakes by Pasticceria Nero Vaniglia
