Bistrot La Perla, A Convivial Tyrolean Corner in Hotel La Perla of Corvara


At La Perla Hotel, think about easing up and enjoying good food from simple to contemporary at the Bistrot La Perla. The dining room has a Tyrolean style interior with dark wood, plush red seats, stone and chandeliers with a large circular wooden bar centrally placed in the room. Cozily tucked in a corner of the town of Corvara in the Dolomites, the bistrot is one of the five restaurants housed inside the family-run five-star hotel of the Costa family, which also includes the renowned Michelin-starred restaurant Stüa de Michil with Chef Simone Cantafi.

With five distinctive dining halls, cuisine is an integral feature of the 54-room hotel. Be it the fine dining room of Stua de Michil to the Les Stues half-board restaurant with the typical Tyrolean stube from the 18th century, to Osteria L'Murin, the rustic tavern offering traditional dishes and finally, the celebrated wine cellar of Mahatma. The Bistrot, in fact, is the heart of conviviality of the hotel with the wide circular bar preparing drinks, and as the sun starts to set, it changes to a universal juke box where live musicians keep the ambience alive while sipping cocktails during aperitif and after dinner until 23:00. 

The proposals at the menu of Bistrot La Perla are not driven to a grand scale of gourmet cuisine but rather focused on the directness of the ingredients, prepared by the chef to the plates. The flavors take you to a journey from the alps to the Mediterranean, to be enjoyed at lunch, aperitif and dinner. In the kitchen is Alessandro Colombo, a young chef hailing from the region of Lombardia who, after his culinary studies, did a 2-year apprenticeship with the renowned Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi. The dining area instead is directed by Alessandro Lorenzato and the wines by sommelier Silvio Galvan.

Snacks are between €15 to €21, appetizers between €21 to €30, first plates of pasta and risotto between €19 to €23, main course of meat and fish between €26 to €34, desserts between €13 to €16 and a platter of cheese at €24.
