It's a vantage point that only a selected few can enjoy. The beauty of Sicily is not just enjoyed on ground level but also from hundreds of meters above. Hovering on top of some selected sights and destinations while sitting comfortably in a private helicopter is probably one of the most luxurious ways to enjoy the sights. Another flying adventure on top of the island is by paragliding! If you've seen the city at ground level, then another one-of-a-kind view is from high above. Not only will you see the outlines of the different monuments, the alleys and stone houses of the villages, the soft green hills of the hinterland, the beautiful coastline with its blue water and golden beaches, but you will also feel the incredible excitement of soaring gently in the sky. It's different, stunning and most importantly, a thrilling experience to fly a paraglider in tandem with a certified professional pilot. The activities can last for 20 minutes or more and comes with a recorded HD video (with extra cost) of the whole experience.

Like all the tours of Sicilying, there are different proposals in different areas:

Tandem Skydiving

If a helicopter ride or paragliding are not enough, then there's something much more action-filled in seeing Sicily from high above the island. Tandem parachuting with a certified instructor entails an airplane ride and a big jump from 4,200 meters of altitude. It is the most exhilarating experience among the activities offered by Sicilying and the good news is, it can be for everyone who has the will and courage to make that amazing jump. Of course, this whole activity is completely safe as you will be secured with a harness to the instructor during the 50-second free fall as you land together softly on the grass. In addition to that, there is also a 10-minute training before the takeoff. And to document the whole experience, there will be a skilled camera man who will be jumping with you to take pictures and a video (at an additional cost).

The proposed Skydiving tours are:

Parachuting in Tandem at Palermo

Tandem Skydiving: Free Fall From 4,000 Meters in Syracuse

Tandem Skydiving: Free Fall From 4,000 Meters in Caltarigone

Tandem Skydiving: Free Fall From 4,000 Meters in Ragusa

Parachuting: Accelerated Free Fall Course (1 full day of theory lessons, 7 jumps from 4.200 meters from an air plane)

Parachuting: Course for Static Line Jump (10 hours of theoretical and practical line jump from 1,200 meters

Flyboarding: Fly Over the Water

Surf the sky with a fly board! It's a new kind of water sport that was just invented in 2012 and be one of the few to try it. A flyboard is a hydroflighting device which supplies propulsion to drive the board into the air. The sport, named as hydroflying, permits a rider to fly up to 15 meters high in the air or dive headlong through the water. The rider stands on a board connected by a long hose to a watercraft. Water is then forced under pressure to a pair of boots with jet. Hydroflying doesn't make you fly high above but the adrelaline rush you will feel with this sport is simply invigorating! Available in Taormina and Trapani.
