Banana, Oat & Almond Smoothie

I know I should be sleeping but I would like you to wake up tomorrow morning with something to put together for a hurried morning.  Put everything together in your blender and in a couple of minutes, you have your breakfast, in a glass.

I'm a night person.  Never was the morning one, never had been and never will be.  It is a problem when you have kids I know.  It's one of my shortcomings that I took with me from childhood.  Every minute counts to be able to stay longer in bed.   A turtle moves faster than I do, I don't walk straight, I don't recognize anyone not even any language until I get my morning coffee (only when I reached the legal age to consume caffeine of course).

Here's the morning scenario when I was still going to school:  I wake up at the very last minute.  I run to the shower.  My mother sends breakfast, most often a bowl of oatmeal because it's fast to swallow and she doesn't need to worry about any episodes of choking.  The schoolbus arrives.  It waits.  And waits.  I run out, face my angry busmates and ride with them all the way to school.

Banana smoothies, I love.  Check!
Almond milk, I love.  Check!
Oats, I love.  Check!

What is there not to love about this smoothie for breakfast?  It's 100% healthy and it gives you energy.  Energy to handle two bouncing kids.  Ten please!

So, if you are in a hurry, or better if you can sit down and relax of course, put these ingredients together and think how happy you are making your body.  And no one will be worried about choking.
